A brief history...

I've been shooting 1x30' TVC and Idents for Sekonda - shot in locations around London. Beauty and macro filming shot at Waterloo Studios.

I've been shooting a book trailer - filming 'weightless' items to be integrated into Sci-fi / CG background plates. Shot on Red.

Filming for Al Jazeera - Title sequence for new series 'Africa Investigates'.
Shot on Epic on Cyclops motion control rig.

I've been shooting a short film to advertise Aston Martin's new city car the 'Cygnet'. Shot at Aston Martin's Headquarters and locations around London. Filmed over several days and nights we used used tracking vechicles to film the car weaving its way through busy streets.

I've been shooting i x40' TVC for Asda through Saatchi & Saatchi. Shot using motion control - 3 camera moves combined to look like one.

I've been filming 'Aston Martin Supercar' which airs on 4th September and throughout Autumn 2011 on National Geographic. This one hour programme charts the design and development of this incredible £1.5 million sportscar and is to be broadcast in 64 countries.

I've been shooting 6 sponsorship idents for Siemens. The sequences were filmed with a Cyclops motion control rig and the footage combined with animation.

Continuing on from last year I've been Directing and lighting TVC for Asda through Saatchi and Saatchi.

i've been directing and shooting seven adverts for Asda's Christmas campaign with Saatchi and Saatchi.

Just returned from Monaco where I've been shooting aerial and on-board footage for the dutch boat builder Heesen.

i've been shooting with a Cyclops Motion Control rig for a collection of Sekonda Watch idents to air later this year.

I've just completed a short film for Aston Martin. The film is episode four about the making of the firm's ultimate sports car of which only 77 will be made at a cost of £1.2m ... each! For a teaser film on this project please see blog.

Back from Malawi and straight back out to Antibes in the south of France to film a £30 million pound boat for a Dutch boat builder. Great shoot and great weather and great heli pilot. More on the blog about this project soon.

James is a DP / Cameraman with over fifteen years experience. Initially training in graphics, he soon went on to be a full-time motion control cameraman shooting everything from commercials to title sequences for companies such as Coca Cola, L'Oreal, Ghost, BBC, Channel Four, Sky, Adidas, o2, Dunhill and BAFTA . After seven years James was craving for a greater range of projects and became a freelance DP. He continues to extend his knowledge and passion for filming and lighting through an ever-widening field of work, be it documentaries or on-line media.
